Cookie Notice
Last updated: 2026-05-29
This notice explains the cookies and similar technologies Cruxible uses, and how you control them. For how we handle personal data more broadly, see our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files stored on your device. Similar technologies (such as local storage) work the same way. We group them into two categories.
| Category | Purpose | Can you turn it off? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Sign-in, security, session integrity, and remembering your cookie choice | No, the site cannot work without them |
| Analytics | Understanding how the site is used so we can improve it | Yes, off by default until you consent |
2. The providers we use
- Strictly necessary: set by Cruxible and by our authentication provider (Clerk) to keep you signed in and secure.
- Analytics (consent only): Plausible and Google Analytics, used to measure aggregate site usage. These load only after you accept analytics cookies. The providers are listed in our Subprocessors notice.
3. How consent works
Analytics are blocked by default. When you first visit, a banner lets you reject all non-essential cookies, accept them, or open settings to choose by category. We do not load any analytics script or send analytics data before you have given consent. Your choice is stored in a strictly necessary cookie so we can honor it on your next visit.
4. Managing your choices
You can change your choice at any time using the "Manage cookie settings" link in the site footer, or from within this notice. Updating your settings takes effect immediately. You can also clear or block cookies through your browser, though doing so may sign you out or reset your preferences. If we change the categories of cookies we use, we will ask for your consent again.
5. Changes
We may update this notice. We will change the "Last updated" date when we do.
